About ND Unpacked
ND Unpacked is all about providing support for parents, carers and teachers.
The mental load for an adult supporting the development and education of neurodiverse youth is heavy, unpredictable and can feel overwhelming. From understanding complicated testing reports to navigating challenging behaviours, from understanding how the neurodiverse brain differs from a neurotypical one and unpacking what that means in your home, your classroom. your life.

Personal meeting, either face to face or online to discuss concerns, questions around schooling and learning plans, parenting techniques and/or grow your understanding of neurodiversity as it impacts you.

Parent / Carer Support Group Gatherings
Join one of our friendly, facilitated group meetings to connect with parents and carers on a similar journey. Share ideas, ask questions and feel a little less isolated.

Katie Bingham.
AuDHD mum of two amazing individuals, one of whom is diagnosed ASD (level 2) and GAD.
Teacher of 20+ years in the Victorian state schools system, both Primary and Secondary.
I have a B Teach, Primary (Hons), Trauma informed coaching certification and the benefit of having vast experience both teaching and parenting neurodiverse individuals. VIT registration (including working with children check), Childsafe and mandatory reporting courses all up to date.
I am passionate about helping people to make challenging circumstances easier, through communication, knowledge and empathy. Empowering our adults can only have positive flow-on effects for our young people in both understanding themselves in the world and their mental health, whilst they navigate times of massive personal growth.

Absolutely! There are strategies for home and school that can help in the meantime and specific steps towards seeking a diagnosis, should you wish to. We can talk through the pros and cons of seeking a diagnosis and / or medicating if it has been professionally suggested.
Yes! We can sit down together and go through the testing reports, what they mean and how you can best support your child. I can also help you to have reasonable expectations around what school can do to help and how to positively advocate for your child's needs.

Absolutely! Coaching allows us to be heard in a non-judgemental, supportive environment where our words have no impact on our loved ones. Take some you time to meet your own needs so that you have more capacity to 'adult' at home.
NDIS funding must be used solely for the person it is allocated to. If your child has funding it cannot be used to support parents or carers. If you are a funded adult, please feel free to email to discuss options available.
